We begin our 4x4 adventure in Lanjarón climbing to an altitude of 1700 metres and take a short drive around the oak trees, afterwards we head towards the “Río Chico” gorge and climb to an altitude of 2.300m. and stop at the old "Refugio de Caza Mayor El Puntal", where we have our snack while we enjoy the amazing views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. After our rest we return to the vehicle and make our way back, taking in the spectacular views of the white washed villages around the gorge of Poqueira and passing by the Buddist Monestery (Centro de retiro O-SEL-IN) Once we reach Pampaneira the most popular visited village in the Alpujarra we take an hour to walk around, buy a souvenir or just sit and relax with a refreshing drink and tapa. Afterwards we wind our way back to Lanjarón.
